Joseph's 1962 BSA DBD Gold Star

Here are a few pics of the 62 DBD GS.

I found this bike in 2023 at an estate liquidator in Massachusetts. The information I got from the estate co. was they were liquidating the estate of a gentleman from Massachusetts, on behalf of his kids, who owned 17 motorcycles. Sixteen of them were in a barn, but this one was in his living room! When I heard that, I was in the car and driving there immediately.

I got the bike for a song given what it is and did a new top end on it with a forged JE piston. Turned out to have a Pearson crank in there and a Carillo rod already. Sent the head to Ed Valiket for new guides and valves. Runs pretty top now!
