Mark's A65 Bitsa
Recipe for an A65 "bitsa":
- 1965 Lightning Rocket lower engine with ball-bearing drive-side main, balanced crank, and 1971 cast iron oil pump.
- 1966 Spitfire upper engine (but with 9:1 pistons, so essentially a Lightning now).
- 1966 Spitfire front end, wheels, and controls.
- 1967 Fuel tank, header pipes, seat, primary chaincase cover, and lights.
- 1970 Frame with all-metal swing arm bushings.
- Mikuni VM32 carburetors.
- Boyer-Bransden electronic ignition.
- Tympanium rectifier/voltage regulator.
- Single HD-type 12-volt, dual output coil.
- All modern wiring and generic switches.
- Motobatt MB9U 11AH AGM battery with custom-made leather cover.
- Automotive sealed beam headlamp.
- FEKED stock replica silencers.
- MAP Cycle oil filter.
- Slipstreamer windshield (modified).
- Stainless steel luggage rack by Classic Bike Racks in the U.K.
- Tourmaster tail bag.
- GPS speedometer.
I think that about covers it.
